Asia Pacific Schools (APS) are a group of private schools in Subang that offer national and international curricula from preschool through secondary school. They are strongly centred on students’ holistic development and their well-being. As of now, they have a success rate of more than 57.4 percent in getting As for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and 25 percent in getting 6As and above for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).

This seven-acre campus can fit over 1,800 students aged three to 17 years old. Students will have access to many well-equipped facilities, such as mechanical and electrical labs, sewing rooms, music rooms, a cooking lab, a swimming pool, an infirmary, and a surau.

As mentioned earlier, Asia Pacific Schools deliver both national and international curricula. For the latter, students would first be entering the International Preschool Programme, which is based on the English National Curriculum and focuses on social skills, personal development, and physical development.

Then, they will be moving to primary schools that follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), where they will discover their own learning styles, reflect on their achievements, and set new goals in life. If they wish to continue taking IGCSE tests and not change to the national curriculum, they will continue their education at the secondary level. Students are able to design their own educational path, as APS offers a diverse range of courses, including Drama, French, Psychology, Sociology, and Travel and Tourism.

Students enrolled here at APS came from more than 30 countries, making the learning experience even better.

As for students who joined APS based on the Malaysian National Curriculum, this institution is a licensed group of schools that are able to conduct classes in the Dual Language Programme (DLP), where Malay is the main medium of communication and English is used to teach Mathematics and Science.

Students in primary school from ages 7 to 12 will follow the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR). This is a mix of Malaysian and international teaching methods that encourages students to be curious and learn on their own. After that, students, like those in international primary schools, can choose to follow the national curriculum or to take the SPM or IGCSE.

If they choose SPM, they will follow the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM). Lower secondary students will be tested using the Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah (PBS) system, while upper secondary students will go right into SPM subjects. In ASP, they offer two streams, namely the science stream and the arts stream, where students can choose which class and subject they want to study further.

In case you are wondering about a typical day at ASP, students will start their school day at 8 AM and end before 4 PM. The national students will have their co-curricular activities for clubs and sports on Wednesday (on alternate every week) and uniformed body activities on Tuesday. International students, on the other hand, will have theirs every Thursday. You can visit their list of clubs, games, uniform bodies, and timetable using this link,https://www.apschools.edu.my/co-curricular-activities/.
