Scholar Base Academy is a homeschooling centre that offers education that follows the Cambridge International Curriculum for children aged five to 17 years old. The institution will be using various methods and online programmes that motivate students to enjoy learning.
Similar to other international schools in Malaysia, Scholar Base provides education starting at the primary level until students are ready to sit for their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).
During elementary school, teachers will focus on helping students get better at speaking, reading, writing, and public speaking in English. Mandarin, Malay, math, science, geography, history, and information and computer technology (ICT) are some of the other subjects that students must take.
When students move to lower secondary school, they are expected to search for their identity and conform to the structured academy environment. Because these teens are likely to become addicted to games, they have to do things outside of school after school. They also have the same subjects as the primary level.
As they go through the upper secondary level, they focus more on preparation for the IGCSE exam. After-school coaching and workshops are conducted to support the students academically. Some of the subjects offered in Scholar Base for the IGCSE exam include Mandarin, economics, chemistry, additional mathematics, accounting, and computer science. They also meet with professionals for career sessions to figure out what they want to study or do for work in the future.
