Global Art Malaysia, also known as globalart, is an art enrichment programme for children aged three to 17 years old. Having established its first centre in Malaysia back in 1999, students will be developing their artistic and creative abilities to their maximum potential with the help of experienced teachers who have created an art-inspired learning environment for them.Â
This academy uses its own approach called theGlobal Art Creative Learning Methodology, where courses are built according to the learner’s learning style and abilities. Their courses are customised with learning tools and materials that encourage them to think, learn, and do things independently. To help with that, globalart introduces professionally trained teachers with their low student-teacher ratio (with a maximum of an 8:1 ratio), continuous assessment and evaluation, and a facilitative learning environment.Â
globalart offers two programmes, the core programme and the enhancement programme. In thecore programme, students are taught to create their own masterpieces from scratch. They will go through classes on composition, shading, colouring, and painting techniques that could help them express their own ideas in reality. This visual arts programme has several categories or classes to join, junior, foundation, pre-basic, basic, intermediate, and advanced.
Meanwhile, through theenhancement programme, students will broaden their artistic skills and knowledge. More complex classes are learned during this stage, where they will go through classes such as clay projects and acrylic painting. Other painting and craft projects are cultural art, G-clay, creative crafts, deco art, holiday workshops, and cartoons and comics.Â
