Krista is Malaysia’s largest kindergarten chain with 30 years of experience in the early childhood field, operating kindergartens and childcare centers across the country. The name derives from a biological term that is related to the brain, reflecting their objectives and commitment to nurturing children intellectually and holistically.

Krista’s goal is to help Malaysia become a world leader in early childhood education by advancing and supporting early childhood education projects across the country. They are committed to participating in the creation of early childhood education programmes at all levels in order to improve the lives of children.

Using Montessori as their teaching method, Krista uses English, Malay, and Chinese as their medium of communication, hence providing classes for these three languages. Some additional learning programmes that the children will join areKidz Can Show, Cambridge English, Leadership Classes, Phonetic English, andPlay Theatre.

Krista focuses on students in the group aged two to six years old. Not to worry; they closely follow the Ministry of Education’s primary school syllabus (KSSR), which focuses on higher order thinking skills (HOTS), also known as KBAT.Â

This school operates from Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 7 PM. They provide meals, transportation services, and facilities such as outdoor playgrounds, enrichment, and daycare. Admission fees ranged from RM2,000 to RM2,800 as of early November 2022. Krista has over 152,700 students enrolled and 960 qualified teachers! Isn’t that amazing?

The most unique feature about Krista is that they implement a new educational approach called theCAPABLE Programme, a comprehensive programme that emphasizes character development, effective information acquisition, individualism, and reaching competency. This curriculum comprises seven items in developing the child’s early childhood years: child-centered learning, academic foundation, practical experiences, assessment provision, benevolence inculcation, learning to play, and exploratory endeavors. Children are exposed to an exciting environment that supports the development of their cognitive, physical, social and emotional, language, and fine and gross motor skills through CAPABLE.Â

You can find Krista kindergartens anywhere, including Kota Samarahan in Sarawak, Muar in Johor, and Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur. With this achievement, the Trusted Kindergarten & Childcare Brand in Malaysia Award was given to this school this year. Enroll your child at Krista today!
