The Lodge Group of Schools is an international institute located in Kuching, Sarawak. When they first opened in 1953, they taught the children of British people living abroad. Today, there are four entities operated under this centre: the Lodge Kindergarten, the Lodge Primary School, the Lodge Secondary School, and the Lodge International School.
At this school, they offer different curriculums based on the national curriculum and the Cambridge International Curriculum.
Starting with early childhood education, children aged three to six will go through play activities that will train their motor skills and coordination. They will be interacting with their friends as they learn English, Malay, and Mandarin at this age. Plus, after-school care is available, as these children can stay back until the school day ends at 5.30 PM.
For primary and secondary schools, Lodge National School follows the national curriculum and nurtures the students to excel in the public examinations. The subjects available are similar to those in public schools. Also, Cambridge’s International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is optional for students to take.
As for Lodge International School, they follow the Cambridge International Curriculum, which covers everything from primary level to pre-university Cambridge International A-Levels.
