If you and your children visited the Petrosains in KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, you must be interested in visiting this place in Perak!
The Geological Museum is an education and learning centre for geology and geosciences located in Ipoh, Perak. It has been around since 1957, when the late Sultan of Perak, Sultan Idris Shah ibn Raja Iskandar Shah, laid the building’s first stone. It is part of the Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia (JMG) complex.
When you walk into the museum for the first time, you will be amazed by how it is set up. The exhibition is split into seven zones, from A to G. Each zone has its own easy-to-understand storyline that will help you learn about geology. It starts with the structure, features, and history of the earth’s geology, as well as different geological specimens and how they are used, mineral mines and exploration, and how they will help people.
